Performance & Development Manager

About the role

This permanent, field‑based position supports Mortgage Advisors across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. You will work closely with advisors, area managers and senior leadership to deliver onboarding, coaching and development programmes that drive performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured onboarding and induction programmes for new Mortgage Advisors.
• Coach and mentor existing advisors to improve productivity, performance and customer outcomes.
• Conduct observations, development reviews, KPI meetings and CPD sessions within the Training & Competence framework.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify development opportunities and implement performance improvement plans.
• Share best practice, support continuous improvement initiatives and promote consistent standards across the region.
• Produce performance reports and provide insight to support business growth and operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• CeMAP qualified or hold an equivalent recognised mortgage qualification.
• Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, training or performance management within financial services.
• Strong understanding of mortgage processes, compliance and the Training & Competence framework.
• Proven ability to influence and develop people to achieve their potential.
