About the role
The Perils Surveyor will manage a portfolio of insurance loss cases, including fire, flood, water escape, storm damage and impact losses across Hampshire and Berkshire. Working primarily from home, the role requires occasional visits to a nearby office to support project delivery and client interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic surveys and pre‑loss building valuations for residential and commercial properties.
- Provide claims consultancy and project‑manage perils investigations.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for insurers and clients.
- Coordinate with loss adjusters, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
Required profile
- Proven experience handling insurance‑related loss assessments.
- Professional chartership such as MCIOB or MRICS preferred, though equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Ability to work independently from a home base while maintaining regular office attendance.
