Peripatetic Music Teacher – Primary Schools (Croydon)

About the role

Nurture Education is seeking an enthusiastic Peripatetic Music Teacher to deliver instrumental and music tuition across several primary schools in Croydon. You will inspire young learners, support school music programmes and help pupils prepare for performances.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging instrumental and music lessons to primary‑aged pupils.
• Teach one‑to‑one, small‑group and whole‑class sessions.
• Prepare pupils for school concerts, performances and other music events.
• Support schools in enhancing their music curriculum and provision.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, school leaders and families to promote music participation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Peripatetic Music Teacher, instrumental teacher or music tutor.
• Strong practical music ability and experience teaching children in school settings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for music education and inspiring young musicians.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
