Permanent Nursery Practitioner (Level 2/3) – Forest Row

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a permanent, full‑time team in Forest Row. The position offers stable Monday‑Friday hours and the opportunity to support children’s development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based EYFS activities tailored to children’s developmental needs.
- Act as the key person for a designated group of children, maintaining up‑to‑date progress records.
- Provide a safe, clean, and emotionally supportive environment for babies and young children.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, offering daily updates on each child’s progress.
- Uphold safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Required profile
- NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a UK nursery, early years, or pre‑school setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding protocols.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Reliable, caring, proactive and committed to a long‑term early years career.
