Personal Banker (Customer Service)

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Personal Banker in Aberdeen as part of its Customer Care team. You will be the friendly face for retail banking customers in the branch or at a local hub, helping them make the most of Barclays' products, services and digital solutions. The role suits people whose background is in customer service, retail, hospitality or other customer-facing work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service through chat, email and phone, resolving complex and specific customer needs with a personalised solution.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate customer care processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes, giving feedback and coaching colleagues.
• Develop and implement customer care procedures and controls to mitigate risk and keep operations efficient.
• Resolve customer enquiries about accounts, transactions and payments.
• Prepare reports and presentations on customer care performance for senior stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and apply best practice to improve customer care.

Required profile

• Comfortable engaging with customers and explaining products and services clearly and professionally.
• Able to build trust and strong customer relationships.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
• Willingness to work 5 days per week, including some weekends.
