Personal Care Assistant – Specialist SEN School (Rochdale)

About the role

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join a well‑established specialist SEN school in Rochdale. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and able to fully participate in school life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care in line with individual care plans.
• Support pupils with toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
• Promote dignity, privacy and independence at all times.
• Assist pupils with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and the wider support team.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school care procedures.
• Maintain accurate records where required.
• Support pupils to access learning, activities and the wider school environment safely and comfortably.
