About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Personal Care Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Newham. In this full‑time position you will work as a SEN Teaching Assistant, helping children with special educational needs achieve their academic and personal care goals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding and hygiene support.
- Facilitate communication, mobility and daily routines to promote independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Patient, empathetic and reliable.
- Committed to supporting children with additional needs.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; comprehensive training will be provided.
