Personal Tax Assistant Manager – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing professional services firm in Bristol. The role will lead the personal tax compliance cycle for a diverse client base, including individuals, trusts, partnerships and LLPs, with a focus on landed estates and rural businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and oversee the full compliance cycle.
• Review and quality‑check work prepared by junior tax staff.
• Provide tailored advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trust structures and international tax matters.
• Ensure all statutory deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Qualified ATT, ACA or CTA.
• Proven experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing junior staff output.
• Background in professional services with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
