Personal Tax Manager / Director (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

This senior, relationship‑focused position gives you ownership of a portfolio of private clients, trusts, estates and owner‑managed businesses, with the chance to shape the firm’s private client offering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates.
• Prepare and review personal, partnership and trust tax returns.
• Deliver advisory work across personal tax, capital gains tax (CGT), inheritance tax (IHT) and trust taxation.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance deadlines are met.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with tax, accounting and advisory colleagues to identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to the expansion of the firm’s private client and family business services.

Required profile

• CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong personal tax experience gained within a practice.
• Proven experience managing portfolios of private clients, trusts and estates.
• Technical knowledge of personal tax, CGT, IHT and trust taxation.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in advisory work.
• Ambition to progress to greater responsibility.
