Personal Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join our growing chartered accountancy practice in Wells. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of personal tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse private client base, including directors, SMEs and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of personal tax returns for a wide range of clients.
• Provide tax planning, succession, inheritance (IHT) and capital gains (CGT) advisory projects.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high‑quality service.
• Collaborate with senior management and directors on strategic tax matters.
• Support and mentor junior staff within the personal tax department.

Required profile

• Qualified with ATT, CTA, AAT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent extensive personal tax experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in personal tax, progressing to manager level.
• Desire to take a key, influential role within a reputable chartered firm.
