Personal Tax Senior / Manager – Wilmslow

About the role

This position offers an opportunity to join a growing tax team within an established independent accountancy practice in Wilmslow. The role can be shaped around your experience, with options for hybrid, part‑time or condensed working patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare UK personal tax returns and supporting calculations.
• Manage a portfolio of private clients, building long‑term relationships.
• Obtain information from clients, resolve queries and respond to HMRC correspondence.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and meets HMRC deadlines.
• Prepare files for review and partner sign‑off.
• Identify issues that may require further tax advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across tax, accounts and payroll.
• Support junior colleagues where appropriate.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal projects.

Required profile

• At least two years’ experience in UK personal tax.
• Proven ability to prepare personal tax returns.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Clear understanding of UK personal tax compliance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HMRC personal tax regulations.
