Personal Tax Senior – Private Client Role

About the role

Pro-Finance is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join its growing private client tax team in Witney. This position offers a varied mix of compliance and advisory work for owner‑managed businesses, high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and estates, within a supportive independent firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns.
• Handle capital gains tax matters.
• Provide rental property taxation services.
• Work on trust and estate tax issues.
• Assist with inheritance tax and estate planning.
• Support ad‑hoc advisory projects.
• Liaise directly with clients and professional contacts.
• Provide guidance to junior staff where appropriate.

Required profile

• Previous experience in personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Strong compliance knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and client‑facing skills.
• Interest in broader advisory work.
• Open‑minded on qualifications – ATT/CTA, qualified by experience, or part‑qualified with strong practical exposure.
• Experience with trusts, estates or probate is beneficial but not essential.
