Pharmaceutical Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmaceutical Legal Counsel to join a global client’s in‑house team in Welwyn Garden City. The role provides comprehensive legal support across the UK and Ireland, covering commercial pharmaceutical law, data protection, clinical trials and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on commercial pharmaceutical, competition, data protection, marketing, anti‑bribery and dispute matters.
• Manage operational data‑protection issues, including Data Subject Requests and privacy incidents.
• Support R&D teams with clinical‑trial regulations and draft/negotiate Clinical Trial Agreements.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial and clinical agreements.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and legal risks for the business.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or life‑sciences sector.
• Strong practical knowledge of UK data‑protection law, including UK GDPR.
• Experience advising on UK commercial pharmaceutical law and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
