Pharmacist – Clinical Pharmacy Service (Band 6/7)

About the role

This full‑time position is based at the Berkshire Independent Hospital in Reading and forms part of Ramsay Health Care UK’s pharmacy team. The post holder will deliver a clinical pharmacy service to both inpatient wards and the outpatient department, promoting safe, effective and economical use of medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high‑quality pharmacy service in line with legislation, professional standards and clinical requirements.
• Offer advice and support to consultants, clinicians and patients to ensure safe, appropriate and cost‑effective medication use.
• Advise hospital departments on safe medicine management and ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Promote a multidisciplinary, patient‑focused approach to deliver efficient, high‑quality healthcare.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Dispensing experience and patient counselling experience.
• Experience supervising and training staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undertake clinical training and postgraduate qualifications.
