Pharmacy Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy service at Berkshire Independent Hospital in Reading. This role offers autonomy and the chance to shape the future of medicines management within a newly built, purpose‑designed pharmacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for the pharmacy department.
• Lead, develop and support the pharmacy team to deliver patient‑centred care.
• Drive quality‑improvement and medicines optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with consultants, nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues across the hospital.
• Offer expert clinical advice and support to senior clinical leaders.

Required profile

• Significant experience in pharmacy practice, preferably within a hospital setting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement.
