Pharmacy Practice Manager – Walton

About the role

As a Pharmacy Practice Manager at ASDA in Walton, you will lead a busy pharmacy team to deliver high‑quality patient care while meeting commercial targets. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will balance clinical responsibilities with business performance to make the pharmacy “best in class”.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy staff, including the store Pharmacist and locum colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
• Achieve pharmacy‑related targets, KPIs and deadlines set by the regional team.
• Manage the daily rota, covering a 44‑hour week with a mix of days and occasional Saturdays.
• Collaborate with in‑store, regional and head‑office teams to resolve clinical and service queries.

Required profile

• Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
• Proven experience in managing a pharmacy team and delivering safe patient services.
• Ability to balance line‑management duties with clinical responsibilities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and confidence to address difficult situations.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer experience and patient safety.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy regulatory compliance and clinical governance.
