Pharmacy Support Worker – Community Pharmacy Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Community Directorate Pharmacy Team within the Annandale & Eskdale Cluster. You will help deliver pharmacy services to patients across Dumfries and Galloway, working closely with GP practices and a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to medicines‑related queries from patients and staff.
• Support communication within the pharmacy hub and with external healthcare professionals.
• Assist with level 1 medicines reconciliation and care‑home review work.
• Carry out audits and contribute to quality‑improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and eager to learn.
• Effective communicator with patients, GP staff and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive multi‑professional environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medicines handling.
• Familiarity with audit processes and documentation standards.
