Pharmacy Support Worker – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role
This permanent position offers three new Pharmacy Support Worker posts within the Pharmacy Department at University Hospital Crosshouse. The role is rotational, giving you experience across the Dispensary, Distribution, Aseptic, and Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) while supporting safe and effective medication services.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in dispensing medication and managing stock in the Dispensary.
- Support the distribution of medicines to clinical areas.
- Participate in aseptic preparation of sterile products.
- Work within the Combined Assessment Unit during extended hours.
- Provide courteous customer service to patients and staff.
- Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a respectful workplace.
Required profile
- Minimum A or B pass at National 5 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
- SVQ in Pharmacy Services (SCQF level 6) or willingness to achieve it within one year.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Good communication and customer care abilities.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
