Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Yorkshire Clinic Hospital in Bingley is seeking a full‑time Pharmacy Technician to join its Pharmacy department. You will work on‑site supporting the Pharmacy Manager and Team Leader in delivering safe, legal, and efficient pharmacy services for both in‑patients and out‑patients.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and issue prescriptions accurately in line with Ramsay Health Care policies.
• Assist with the manufacture of pharmacy goods and preparation of medicines.
• Support the pharmacist by checking inpatient prescription records for clinical and financial appropriateness.
• Provide straightforward advice to patients, carers, and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products.
• Supervise, train and coach new pharmacy staff where required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to GPhC standards of conduct, ethics and performance.
• Participate in weekend, bank holiday and extended‑hours rotas.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2/3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent).
• Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs (A‑C) including English, Maths and Science.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
