Philanthropy Manager

About the role

The Talent Set is partnering with a client to find a Philanthropy Manager who will lead the development of high‑quality funding proposals, impact reports, and donor stewardship. This role is central to growing high‑value income and supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of compelling funding applications and donor‑facing reports.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, and partner organisations.
• Collaborate with fundraising, communications, research, and scientific teams to develop funding propositions.
• Oversee impact reporting to ensure the organisation’s work is communicated effectively.
• Support the design of high‑value funding strategies aligned with growth plans.
• Maintain accurate donor and funding databases, tracking engagement and income streams.
• Assist in preparing materials for fundraising events and campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, especially with major gifts.
• Exceptional written communication skills for clear, persuasive proposals and reports.
• Strong relationship‑management abilities with donors and funders.
• Collaborative mindset across departments and ability to incorporate feedback.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Adaptable, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in the charity sector.
