Philanthropy Manager – South East (Remote)

About the role

The RNLI is seeking a Philanthropy Manager to work from home in the South East of England. You will join a growing Philanthropy Team that supports the charity by cultivating high‑value gifts and will play a key part in delivering a £150m capital appeal.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and manage a portfolio of 70‑90 major donors, securing five‑, six‑ and seven‑figure gifts.
• Develop compelling cases for support that align with donor interests and RNLI priorities.
• Plan and deliver a small number of engagement, prospecting and recognition events.
• Provide high‑quality stewardship and customer service to donors.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, able to engage a range of audiences from donors to senior stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working remotely as part of a distributed team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and Ireland and work flexible hours.
