About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join a high‑achieving Enfield secondary school. The role covers teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting a vibrant science department that enjoys strong student interest and growing A‑Level enrolment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for KS3‑KS5, aligning with the national curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support personalised learning pathways.
• Contribute to the development of the science department, collaborating with the Head of Department and fellow teachers.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions and extracurricular science activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Passion for physics and its real‑world applications.
• Experience teaching secondary‑level physics, preferably across KS3‑KS5.
• Commitment to high academic standards and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in physics.
• Ability to design and deliver practical laboratory sessions.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
