Physics Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School in Wandsworth

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Physics Teacher to join an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Wandsworth, starting September 2026. The role is permanent, full‑time and offers the chance to contribute to a high‑performing Science department.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate students in physics across Key Stages.
• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Collaborate with a team of Physics early‑career teachers.
• Take on optional teaching‑and‑learning responsibilities such as KS3 coordination or pastoral duties.
• Participate in in‑house training and professional development programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong academic background (degree, A‑levels and GCSEs in relevant subjects).
• Demonstrated ability to meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level.
• Willingness to work as part of a large Physics team and accept feedback.
