Physics Teacher – Permanent Full-Time Position

About the role

We are partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Maidstone to recruit a passionate Physics Teacher on a permanent, full-time basis starting in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them discover the excitement behind forces, energy, electricity, space and modern technology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the Physics curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching depending on experience.
• Design and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop scientific thinking.
• Plan, mark and assess work to support each learner in reaching their full potential.
• Run practical experiments and link theory to real-world applications.
• Collaborate with an experienced Science department and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• Qualified Physics or Science teacher with a strong physics specialism.
• Enthusiastic, committed and passionate about helping young people succeed.
• Proven ability to create engaging lessons and build positive relationships with students.
• Team-player who enjoys contributing to a thriving department.

Required skills

• Delivery of the UK Physics curriculum for KS3‑KS4.
• Lesson planning, assessment and feedback.
• Facilitation of practical laboratory work.
• Classroom management and student motivation.
