Piano Player for Chapel Services
HammondCare Volunteers · Cardiff
Job description
About the role
HammondCare Cardiff Aged Care is seeking a piano player to accompany chapel services for its older residents. The service takes place on Wednesdays, fortnightly, from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. Many residents can no longer attend church services in the community, but their faith and the music that has accompanied them through life remain important; the piano player's presence creates a peaceful, familiar space where they can reflect, sing softly or simply feel held by the hymns they have loved for decades.
Key responsibilities
- Play piano during chapel services for older residents at HammondCare Cardiff Aged Care.
- Offer connection, dignity and spiritual nourishment through music, helping residents feel part of something meaningful.
Required profile
- Aged 18 or over.
- NDIS screening arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
Volunteers are contacted by phone or text after expressing interest, or by email if contact by phone is not possible. More information on volunteering with HammondCare is available on its website.
