PIP Nurse Assessor – Hybrid

About the role

As a PIP Nurse Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Working on complex physical, mental health and chronic pain cases, you will help customers move forward while receiving tailored training and ongoing mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to determine the impact of disability or health conditions on daily activities.
• Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support eligibility decisions.
• Assess complex cases involving physical, mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records and follow up with customers as needed.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum one year of post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software for report writing.
