Planned Delivery Surveyor

About the role

The role involves supporting the delivery of planned maintenance and investment programmes for a large housing association in South West England. You will work within the Asset Management team, carrying out inspections, preparing specifications and ensuring works are completed to high standards while providing a positive experience for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections and assess building condition to identify maintenance requirements.
• Prepare detailed specifications and scopes of work for investment and refurbishment projects.
• Monitor works on site, performing pre‑, during‑ and post‑inspections to ensure quality, compliance and value for money.
• Identify defects, manage remedial works and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with contractors, delivery teams and internal colleagues to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Support contractor performance, manage variations and maintain accurate project records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM requirements.
• Communicate with residents to minimise disruption and deliver a positive customer experience.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in property inspections and building condition surveys.
• Experience preparing specifications and scopes for planned maintenance or refurbishment.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
• Ability to monitor contractors and inspect works on site.
• Good understanding of construction methods, maintenance practices and building regulations.
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation, including CDM.
