Planner – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planner to join a regional construction business operating across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. You will support the bid and estimating teams, develop accurate forecasts at tender stage and manage programmes through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Produce scope of works and bills of quantities for schemes up to £20 million.
• Assess and manage subcontractor responses and proposals.
• Analyse subcontractor programmes, identify critical paths and create master programmes for each project.
• Participate in client meetings and liaise with external professional bodies.
• After award, review look‑ahead programmes with Project and Contract Managers to ensure subcontractors and site teams stay on target.
• Collaborate closely with the PM and delivery team, using head‑office systems and best‑practice processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Planner on construction schemes, preferably in the £8‑20 million range.
• Ability to work across education, care, student, leisure, retail and industrial sectors.
• Eligibility to live and work in the United Kingdom.
