Planning and Purchasing Manager

About the role

Join an award‑winning manufacturer as a Planning and Purchasing Manager, based in West Kent. You will be the system lead for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ensuring the ERP reflects production needs and supports smooth, high‑quality manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise Microsoft Dynamics NAV for production planning and procurement.
• Develop and manage manufacturing bills of materials, translating technical data into system records.
• Create and coordinate production work orders, aligning them with the master schedule.
• Oversee end‑to‑end purchasing of raw materials and finished goods, balancing stock availability with cost control.
• Monitor supplier performance, update system records and proactively address supply risks.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships through commercial discussions and contract negotiation.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
• Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role with full procurement cycle knowledge.
