Planning Controller – Heavy Maintenance

About the role

The Planning Controller supports British Airways Heavy Maintenance by ensuring aircraft checks are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. You will work closely with production and support teams to manage planning data and guarantee compliance with SAP and Primavera processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SAP revisions and the associated Primavera network during maintenance input to ensure compliance.
• Provide production control activities, including material review, work amendment tracking, finance plan checks and SAP compliance management.
• Act as a key stakeholder in pre‑input planning, identifying and mitigating risks before maintenance starts at BAMC.
• Produce realistic check plans and timelines, confirming resource availability to meet customer downtime requirements.
• Assist with business and operational reporting and communication as required.
• Support check‑packaging administration, including work‑pack audits.
• Provide technical research and support to production teams.
• Follow departmental procedures and perform any other duties within competence.
• Support other departments operationally when needed.
