Planning Solicitor (1-6 PQE) – Milton Keynes

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Planning Solicitor with 1‑6 years post‑qualification experience to join our rapidly growing team in Milton Keynes. You will work on a diverse portfolio of planning matters for residential, commercial, retail, agricultural and renewable energy projects across the Eastern Region, the Midlands and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships from engagement through billing and debt collection.
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 agreements, highways and drainage agreements, and other infrastructure contracts.
• Prepare and review development agreements, court proceedings and compliance documentation.
• Handle enforcement matters, Certificates of Lawfulness (CLEUDs and CLOPUDs), and support planning appeals and judicial reviews.
• Maintain file management and audit procedures in line with firm standards.

Required profile

• 1–6 years PQE, hardworking, personable and eager to develop within a collaborative environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and related legislation.
• Ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining strong client and colleague relationships.
