Plant Operator

About the role

Join FCC Environment as a Plant Operator, working on a 48‑hour week at the Rotherwas Industrial Estate. You will help ensure waste is handled safely and efficiently while supporting the site’s operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery safely in line with procedures.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or defects.
• Accept and handle only permitted waste, ensuring compliance.
• Maintain accurate records as required.
• Support site rules and uphold health, safety and environmental standards.
• Keep machinery, work areas and rest facilities clean and tidy.
• Collaborate with management and team members to keep operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Previous telehandler experience is essential.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Experience operating machinery or in a similar environment (desirable).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexible, reliable and detail‑oriented.
