Plant Service Coordinator – £37,000 + Benefits

About the role

This is an organised, proactive role supporting the day‑to‑day operation of a busy plant department within a construction and plant‑hire business. You will ensure that plant, equipment and vehicle servicing is coordinated efficiently while maintaining accurate records and compliance information.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily service and maintenance activities for plant and equipment.
• Liaise with workshop staff, hire desk, transport team and external suppliers.
• Update and maintain plant management systems with servicing and compliance data.
• Schedule future servicing and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, repairs and damage reports.
• Provide up‑to‑date plant availability information to the hire desk.
• Monitor machine compliance and report any deficiencies.
• Support the wider plant department with additional administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a service coordinator, plant administrator or in service administration.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external liaison.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience within plant hire, construction or utilities sectors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
