Plant Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Service Technician to join a well‑established and growing engineering team. You will work on a wide range of plant and construction equipment, receiving ongoing manufacturer training and clear career development pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair plant and construction machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment and software.
• Complete warranty, customer and internal repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Attend breakdowns and provide on‑site support when required.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Liaise professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Keep company vehicles, tools and equipment in good working order.

Required profile

• Previous experience with plant, construction, agricultural or heavy‑vehicle machinery.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
