Plater/Fabricator – 24‑Month Fixed‑Term Assignment at Caterpillar

About the role

We are looking for skilled Platers/Fabricators to join a 24‑month fixed‑term assignment supporting Caterpillar’s operations in Stockton‑on‑Tees. The role offers day, afternoon and night shifts with competitive hourly rates and the chance to progress to a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

• Build and weld fixtures to tight tolerances.
• Work independently and as part of a team following standard procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Perform manual lifting, operate overhead cranes and carry out jig work.

Required profile

• Previous experience in fabrication and welding.
• Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns.
