Platform Engineer – Cloud & HPC (Python/Rust)

About the role

Technical Futures Ltd is a deep‑tech start‑up focused on optimizing complex engineering systems. We are looking for a forward‑thinking Platform Engineer to help design and operate the core platform that supports scientific computing workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement platform services that coordinate work, manage state and handle failures.
• Develop and maintain APIs that connect various components of the system.
• Deploy and operate containerised services on Linux environments.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to shape platform architecture.
• Ensure high code quality and robust testing practices.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Mid‑level to senior experience with modern programming languages, especially Python and Rust.
• Demonstrated interest in scientific computing, cloud or HPC environments.
