Platform Owner - Hardware Platform

About the role

Thames Water is seeking a decisive, delivery‑driven Platform Owner to lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of user hardware devices. You will ensure a modern, secure, and reliable device experience that supports hybrid working and maximises employee productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete device lifecycle from procurement through provisioning, refresh, and retirement.
• Define and maintain hardware standards and strategic direction.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
• Guarantee secure, reliable device experiences for all users.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and optimise lifecycle costs through asset intelligence.

Required profile

• ITIL Foundation qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing hardware or device environments.
• Strong knowledge of lifecycle and asset management.
• Vendor and supplier management experience.
• Ability to define user‑focused hardware standards.
• Nice‑to‑have: large‑scale device refresh experience and sustainable IT asset knowledge.
