PLC Programmer – £55k-£65k + Overtime, Travel, Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join a fast‑growing engineering firm that designs and builds automated special‑purpose machines for manufacturers across the UK. Key responsibilities

• Develop and write PLC programs for Siemens and Allen‑Bradley platforms.
• Commission and test machinery on customer sites throughout the UK.
• Provide on‑site support and troubleshooting during installation and start‑up phases.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure solutions meet technical specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in PLC programming and commissioning.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home as required.
• Based within an hour’s drive of Huddersfield.
• Strong commitment to health and safety on customer sites.

Required skills

• Siemens PLC programming.
• Allen‑Bradley PLC programming.
• PLC code development and debugging.
• Machine commissioning and on‑site testing.
