Plumber (Dorset Region)

About the role

Magna Housing is looking for an experienced, skilled plumber to join its Building Safety, Compliance and Home Services team. The role is field-based with regular travel across the Dorset region, covering the Jurassic Coast area from Portland to Seaton and wider call-out areas. Van, tools and uniform are provided, and the position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs and other trade-related works in customers' homes, from reporting the job to completion, to a high standard and within current legislation.
• Work alongside colleagues committed to an exceptional customer experience.
• Take part in the out-of-hours rota approximately once every 8 to 10 weeks, with an additional standby pay allowance.

Required profile

• Time-served apprenticeship or C&G/NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience.
• Associated multi-skilled trades such as carpentry.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Basic IT literacy, as the role uses an iPad to receive and complete jobs.
• Legal right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is available.
