Plumber Multi Trader – Reactive Maintenance (Barnet & West London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plumber Multi Trader to join a well‑established reactive maintenance team. The role involves travelling across Barnet and surrounding West London boroughs to carry out day‑to‑day repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out a range of plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
• Diagnose and repair faults on domestic plumbing systems, including taps, toilets, showers, sinks, pipework and drainage.
• Complete plumbing installations and replacements as required.
• Perform additional multi‑trade duties such as basic carpentry, basic electrical work (like‑for‑like), small‑area tiling and patch plastering.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes and manage workload to meet agreed timescales.

Required profile

• Relevant plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in reactive maintenance for social housing.
• Strong attention to quality, safety and professional standards.
• Ability to work independently, use PDA/mobile technology and maintain reliable attendance.
• Willingness to travel between properties throughout the working day.
