Plumber – Residential Maintenance

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking a qualified plumber to join its Essex Maintenance Team, delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across the Estuary Housing portfolio. You will work on occupied residential properties, focusing on first‑time fixes and high‑quality service for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing works such as leak detection, hot and cold water repairs, immersion heater installation, sanitary ware replacement, and bathroom/kitchen installations.
• Perform multi‑trade tasks including wall and floor tiling, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, patch plastering, and professional painting & decorating.
• Record all work in real time using the Axis mobile app.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners and administration teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Complete risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures on every job.
• Support apprentices and uphold Axis’s high standards of customer service.
• Participate in emergency call‑outs or out‑of‑hours support when required.

Required profile

• Reliable and adaptable tradesperson with a strong commitment to quality.
• Effective communicator with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to work safely in occupied homes and follow health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Full UK driving licence and a well‑maintained tool kit.
• Experience in social‑housing repairs and maintenance is desirable.
