Plumber – Residential Repairs (Brighton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced plumber to join our team on a busy responsive repairs contract in Brighton. The role involves delivering a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing, ensuring homes are safe, functional and comfortable for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties, including fixing leaks, blockages and drainage issues.
• Replace or repair taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware.
• Repair or replace pipework, valves, fittings and investigate hot‑water systems and radiators.
• Remove, repair or replace bath panels for leak detection and ensure professional finish.
• Record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition.
• Provide high levels of customer care and work respectfully in residents’ homes.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency rota as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience in carpentry repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills, especially in occupied homes.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £38,000.
• Company van and fuel card.
• Out‑of‑hours rota (42.5 hours/week, 8‑5 Monday‑Friday).
• Permanent full‑time contract.
