Plumber – Shower Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Plumber – Shower Maintenance Engineer to join a leading repairs and maintenance contractor serving the social housing sector in Sittingbourne, Kent. The role is permanent and involves delivering high‑quality routine maintenance across multiple properties each day.

Key responsibilities

• Attend on‑site visits to diagnose shower breakdowns or leaks.
• Safely disassemble units and replace faulty components such as heating elements, cartridges and digital shower boxes.
• Isolate water and electrical supplies, disconnect and reconnect pipework and wiring, often requiring basic electrical certification.
• Complete multiple jobs per day while adhering to health and safety regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a plumber, preferably within social housing or a similar environment.
• Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 desirable, CSCS card, Asbestos Awareness).
• Knowledge of NHF SORS and health & safety compliance is advantageous.
• Ability to use a PDA and job‑scheduling software.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check and hold a full UK manual driving licence.
