Plumbing Assessor – Full‑Time Permanent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Assessor to join a leading Further Education provider in the South of England. You will work directly with apprentices, employers and curriculum teams, helping learners develop the technical competence and professional behaviours required in the plumbing and gas sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver learner inductions, theory and practical training sessions.
• Conduct workplace observations, assessments and progress reviews.
• Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and support qualification achievement.
• Provide constructive feedback, coaching and mentorship to improve performance.
• Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Contribute to curriculum development and creation of learning resources.
• Participate in quality assurance activities as required.

Required profile

• Level 3 Plumbing qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds Advanced Craft or equivalent).
• Significant industry experience in plumbing and/or gas.
• Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent).
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence using digital systems for record‑keeping and assessment.
