Plumbing Lecturer – Teach in Further Education

About the role

We are seeking experienced Plumbing Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for Further Education providers in Croydon. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ practical plumbing abilities, technical knowledge and readiness for industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver plumbing curriculum across a range of levels.
• Teach practical installation, maintenance and fault‑finding techniques in workshop settings.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure all workshop activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports student retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Plumbing, Building Services Engineering, Heating, Ventilation or a related trade.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training).
• Experience teaching plumbing in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning contexts.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for trade education.
