Plumbing Trainer (Full Training Provided)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced plumber to transition into a teaching role, delivering plumbing programmes to learners aged 16‑18, adults and apprentices. You will join a forward‑thinking college that is investing in its plumbing and gas provision, offering full teacher and assessor training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory‑based plumbing sessions to classes of around 18 learners.
• Plan lessons, prepare resources, mark assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learner progress, achievement and positive outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the plumbing and gas curriculum.
• Participate in occasional evening delivery, with time‑off‑in‑lieu provided.

Required profile

• Strong background in plumbing, ideally holding a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent (Level 2 considered with relevant experience).
• Motivation to support learner success and develop a teaching career.
• Gas knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable but not required; training will be supported.
