Plumbing Tutor – Full Training Provided

About the role

We are looking for a qualified plumber or plumbing & heating engineer to join our training academy as a Plumbing Tutor. The role offers full teacher training and a clear pathway into a long‑term education career, delivering Level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating programmes to apprentices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom‑based theory to groups of up to 16 apprentices.
• Develop learners’ technical knowledge, hands‑on skills and professional behaviours.
• Prepare apprentices for successful careers in the plumbing and heating industry.
• Follow a reduced teaching timetable during the initial transition period while completing teaching qualifications.

Required profile

• Qualified plumber or Plumbing & Heating Engineer with strong industry experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Plumbing & Heating (preferred).
• ACS Gas and Unvented Hot Water qualifications are advantageous.
• Motivation to build a lasting career in education.

What we offer

• Salary £37,900‑£44,500 per year plus London weighting.
• Fully funded Level 3 and Level 4 Teaching Qualifications.
• 35‑hour week (8:30 am‑4:00 pm), Monday‑Friday onsite in Orpington.
