PMO Co-ordinator – Project Management Office

About the role
Join an instantly recognisable service business in Merseyside as a PMO Co‑ordinator. This 12‑month, newly created position supports the organisation's project portfolio and governance, offering a hybrid working model and attractive benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Support the smooth operation of portfolio and project governance frameworks, ensuring key controls and processes are adhered to.
- Facilitate project review forums, preparing agendas, capturing outcomes and monitoring follow‑up actions.
- Monitor project schedules, risks, issues and dependencies, providing clear visibility to stakeholders.
- Administer and maintain programme documentation, reporting tools and collaboration platforms.
- Deliver smaller project initiatives from initiation through to completion, meeting time and quality objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across project management processes, introducing efficiencies and best practices.
- Produce insightful management information and reporting packs highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with senior project and business leaders to align priorities with strategic objectives.
Required profile
- Previous experience working within a PMO, Project Office, Programme Office or similar coordination environment.
- Confident communicator able to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Highly organised with excellent planning, coordination and attention‑to‑detail.
- Strong analytical mindset capable of interpreting data and providing meaningful insights.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, structured change or transformation environment.
- Based in the North West and able to travel to Merseyside three days per week.
