Polaris Developer (6‑month Remote Contract)

About the role

Our client is looking for a skilled Polaris Developer to join a business‑led development team on a six‑month remote contract. You will oversee the full development lifecycle for internal systems, software house changes, scheduled releases, new product launches, and fault resolution, ensuring high‑quality system changes and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Review Business Requirement Documents and provide development estimates.
• Analyse business needs and recommend appropriate development approaches and strategies.
• Own project and BAU planning, preparing development plans, managing conflicts, and updating plans throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure development build specifications align with business priorities and governance requirements.
• Identify, document, and resolve issues while maintaining governance compliance.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and management, escalating conflicts as needed.
• Safeguard the integrity of development environments and data.
• Document all development requirements, specifications, and variances to maintain a clear audit trail.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of host policy administration systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Polaris ProductWriter for commercial insurance products.
• Familiarity with development and project methodologies.
• Experience analysing insurance products and understanding underwriting rules and complex pricing algorithms.
