Police Actions Solicitor – Liverpool

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced solicitor to join its dedicated Police Actions team in Liverpool. The role involves handling a diverse range of police‑related claims, from wrongful arrest to breaches of human rights, and delivering litigation from instruction through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of police misconduct matters, including wrongful arrest, false imprisonment, unlawful detention and human‑rights breaches.
• Conduct full‑cycle case management – from client instruction, evidence gathering and pleadings to trial and post‑trial activities.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients and represent them in court.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior partners and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a proven track record in police‑related litigation.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage cases to completion.
• Excellent client‑facing communication.

Required skills

• Litigation experience in civil claims against police authorities.
• Knowledge of criminal procedure, human‑rights law and civil litigation practice.
